Attendance and Session Completion Policy

11.1 The requirement#

The cohort runs over sixteen weeks, with live sessions held on weekends.

To be eligible for certification, a learner must:

1. attend at least 50% of scheduled live sessions, in real time; and
2. complete every remaining session by viewing the recording on the learning platform; and
3. complete and submit all assignments by their stated deadlines.

All three conditions must be met. Attending 50% of sessions alone is not sufficient — the remaining sessions must still be watched, and all assignments must still be completed. There is no partial pathway to certification.

11.2 Why it is structured this way#

We recognise that many of our learners are working professionals or full-time students, and that attending every live session over sixteen weeks is not always possible. The 50% live requirement exists so that you have genuine contact with faculty and peers. The completion requirement exists so that no learner is certified having skipped material.

11.3 What counts as live attendance#

Attendance is recorded through platform and session logs. Attendance means genuine presence and participation for the substantive duration of the session. Logging in and remaining absent, inactive, or unreachable does not count as attendance.

11.4 Recorded sessions#

Recordings of live sessions are made available on the learning platform for sessions you miss. Viewing a recording counts towards the session completion requirement in clause 11.1(2), but does not count towards the 50% live attendance requirement in clause 11.1(1).

Recordings are provided for your personal learning during your enrolment period only. Recording, downloading, screen-capturing, or sharing them is prohibited under the Terms and Conditions and will result in termination without refund.

Practical, role-play, and supervised components may not be available as recordings, and may need to be attended live or made up in a manner we specify.

11.5 Tracking your progress#

Your live attendance, recording completion, and assignment submission status are visible to you on the learning platform. It is your responsibility to monitor your own progress and to raise any discrepancy with us promptly. We are not obliged to notify you individually that you are falling short.

11.6 Assignments#

Assignments are mandatory, not optional. A learner who has met the attendance requirement but has not submitted all assignments is not eligible for certification. Deadlines are stated on the platform; late submissions may be refused or penalised.

11.7 Extended absence#

If illness or a serious personal circumstance prevents you from participating for an extended period, write to drsarthakpsychology@gmail.com as early as possible with supporting documentation. We will consider reasonable accommodations, which may include an extended window to complete recordings and assignments, or deferral to a later cohort. Any such accommodation is granted at our discretion, is a concession rather than an entitlement, and does not create any right to a refund.

11.8 Punctuality#

Sessions begin on time. Repeated late arrival is disruptive to faculty and fellow learners and may be treated as a conduct matter.
